The finishing touches

An installation has a moment when the new workspace starts to feel like part of the office. The main structure is in place, the details are being finished, and the purpose of the space becomes clear: somewhere to step inside, close the door and get on with the task at hand.

This Sydney project brought two FocusPod Solo pods into an existing office. Our installation photographs follow one of the pods through those final stages, including our installer working from a ladder at the upper frame, before moving inside to show the completed workspace.

Two spaces for individual work

Office work changes throughout the day. A call needs attention. A video meeting needs its own setting. Between conversations, there may be a document to review or a task to work through without the activity of the wider room immediately around you.

Two Solo pods create two separate places for those moments. Each is designed for one person, giving two colleagues the option to use an enclosed workspace independently. That is useful capacity to consider when several people need a place for their own calls at the same time.

A closer look inside the Solo

The open-door photograph shows the interior clearly: a white integrated desk, grey wall panels, overhead lighting, ceiling vents and accessible power. The desk provides a surface for a laptop or notes, keeping the arrangement straightforward and suited to individual work.

With the door closed, the glass front keeps the workspace visually connected to the room around it. The white frame outlines the entrance, while the darker interior gives the pod a distinct identity within the office. It is a small, dedicated workspace with a clear everyday role.

Working with the existing room

Timber flooring, pale walls and natural light give this Sydney office a warm, simple backdrop. The Solo’s white exterior sits comfortably within that setting, and the photographs from the side and front show how the enclosure relates to the surrounding room.

The project adds another way to use the office: an individual space alongside the existing desks and shared areas. The finished photographs show the pod as part of a real workplace, while the installation image captures the practical work that brings it together.

Planning an office pod installation in Sydney

Start with the activities you want to support. If people regularly join separate calls, consider the number of individual spaces needed at busy times. Then look at placement, including access to power, door movement and clear circulation around each pod.

Make room for the work that needs its own space

Plan around how many individual calls happen at the same time, then check the pod positions, door clearance, access to power and surrounding walkways.
